The frustration of Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra extended further when they failed to win against Team BJMC and eventually had to remain content with 1-1 draw in  the JB Bangladesh Premier League Football at Mymensingh Stadium. BJMC came from a goal down to halt a better outfit Sheikh Russel after fighting almost evenly in the 90 minutes game.
Ikanaga put Russel into lead in the midway of first half while Zakir Hossain Ziku levelled the margin for BJMC just four minutes after the break.
In fact some woeful display from Shakhawat Hossain Rony, Mithun Chowdhury and Fikru Teferra, deprived Russel from a win when the forwards failed to mark the targets from close range attempts.
In the keenly contested match, it was anybody’s game while both the sides demonstrated a lively encounter with producing sharp attacks from both sides and also created some good scoring chances.  Russel were a bit ahead with opening the spaces for eight times and BJMC responded for seven when one goal was scored from each sides and some 15,000 spectators enjoyed an entertaining match.
However, BJMC who were better in attacking in the initial time, drew the first blood from which they could have gone ahead but their playmaker Samsom Illiasu saw his close range attempt tipped over the cross piece when a Khan Mohammed Tara free-kick came to him on 22nd minute.
Russel, who took time to emerge any attack before 20 minutes, scored the goal from their first attempt when defender Ikanga slammed home on a close range header on a Monaem Khan Raju free-kick on 25th minute (1-0).
After taking the lead it looked that Russel would have the first winning taste after a frustrating four defeats in a row.
Russel looked to get back to their real form, as they put BJMC into pressure in the full first half  but neither Shakhawat Rony nor Mithun failed to utilize a chance having the goalkeeper Himel alone when Raju provided the ball after a BJMC defender committed a lapse on 44th minute.
After the break, BJMC again was first to make attack after the break with Mehdi Hassan Tapu’s header on Abdullha Pervej free-kick on 47th minute.
But the official sides, equalised the margin very immediate when Zakir Hossain Ziku made a sharp finish of a Samson Illiasu and Tapu combination on 49th minute (1-1).
Though Russel saw another pressure after the equaliser from BJMC, strongly reacted with a well composed scoring chance but failed to fire home from the occasions as they went for four consecutive times.
