Two JU BCL men suspended

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit yesterday suspended its two activists for their alleged involvement in planting Marijuana (hemp) trees in their hall room. A press release signed by JU unit BCL president Mahmudur Rahman Jony and General Secretary Razib Ahmed Rasel confirmed this matter. The suspended BCL men are Khan Mohammad Rois, a masters student of journalism and media studies and Deputy Relief secretary of JU BCL unit, and BCL activist Md Rasel, masters student of Chemistry department, both of them are resident of Shaheed Rafiq Zabbar dormatory. JU BCL also served a show-cause notice asking them to explain why they should not be suspended for involving in the unethical work within next 7 days, added the release. According to the release, the BCL men have been planting marijuana (hemp) beside on their windows for a long. Marijuana tress came under light on Thursday. However, BCL leader Rois denied the allegation and said that he is the victim of bad politics.
