14 jailed for illegal sand lifting

 A mobile court, led by executive magistrate and Assistant Commissioner of Land Md Selim Reza, sent 14 illegal sand lifters to 15 days of imprisonment on Friday.
Ayub Ali Khan SI of Mirzapur police Station said acting on a  tip-off,  the mobile court went to Chokleswar area and caught them when  they were lifting sand illegally from the Bonsai River and awarded the punishment.
The court also seized a dredger from the spot.  Selim Reza said two poles of national power grid stand near the spot of the river. The same mobile court fined and jailed six persons on charge of illegal sand lifting on Wednesday.
