Ethnic community people, the beneficiaries of the Cluster Parishad of Teacher-Employees Cooperative Union Ltd in Madhupur, yesterday formed a human chain demanding withdrawal of 15 percent tax imposed on the cooperative society by the government in the proposed national budget.
The human chain was formed in front of Madhupur Press Club.
Among others, chairman of Cluster Parishad Ltd. of Tangail Martin Mree, president of Madhupur Teachers-Employees cooperatives Ltd. Zoynal Abedin, secretary Azizur Rahman, chairman of Abima Adibashi cooperative credit Ltd. Anthony Mansang, manager of Tangail unit of TECU Solaiman Hossain spoke on the occasion.
Other people of the locality also joined the human chain.
