Man hacked to death by sibling in Comilla

Comilla: A man was hacked to death allegedly by his drug addict younger brother at Shantirbazar in Nangalkot upazila on Tuesday afternoon, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Mainuddin, son of Idris Miah, a resident of Srirampur village of the upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Nangalkot Police Station M Aiyub said Mainuddin’ s brother Manik, who was a drug addict, while in a drunken state walked into Shantirbazar on staggering feet on Tuesday afternoon.
Later, as he met Mainuddin in front of a saloon he hacked his brother with a sharp weapon, leaving him injured.
Locals whisked Mainuddin off to Nangalkot Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctors declared him dead. Police arrested Manik with the help of locals, the OC added.
