30 hurt as rabid dog on a biting spree

 At least 30 people, including four children, were severely injured as a rabid dog bit them while prowling around a number of villages in Sirajdikhan upazila on Tuesday night.
Of the injured, Rabin,17, Rubel Hossain, 3, Hosne Ara, 40, Babu, 2, Anis,12, Alam, 8, Jasim, 8, Awlad, 35, Aroti Dhor, 30, Rubina, 9, and Jamal Sheikh,18, were taken to Mohakhali Infectious Disease Hospital in Dhaka while others were admitted to different local hospitals, including Sadar Hospital.
Confirming the incident, Sirajdikhan upazila health complex official Doctor Dulal Hossain said the mad dog bit 30 people in Gorapipara, Furshail, Boiragadi, Malkhanagar and Fegunasa villages at night.
