More than 200 illegal shops demolished

As the part of this eviction drive on illegal structures, the Gazipur traffic division with the help of two platoons of police demolished temporary kitchen markets on the footpath in Borobari area, illegal fruit market in Boardbazar and more than 200 illegal makeshift shops from the Dhaka-Mymensing highway in Signboard and Malekerbari areas of Gazipur city yesterday.
On the other hand, Gazipur traffic division filed about 500 cases against motorcycles bikers who have no any valid documents and seized 62 motorcycles from different areas of Gazipur city in special drives till yesterday that started on August 1.
A team of law enforcers led by senior assistant superintendent of Gazipur traffic police Shakhawat Hossain conducted the drives. He said to control the crimes, Gazipur traffic division started this special drives.
