Mira Mondal’s first solo album launched

The first solo album of singer Mira Mondal titled ‘Onek Kotha Bolechhilam’, which is a Rabindra Sangeet album, has been released under the banner of G-series and Agniveena productions. On the occasion of album release, a programme was organised at Café Thirty3 in the capital’s Baily Road area on Sunday. The programme was attended by Dhaka University Professor Emeritus Dr Anisuzzaman, eminent singer Sadi Mohammad, Bangladesh Shishu Academy Director Mosharraf Hossain, noted recitation artiste Bhaskar Bandyopadhyay, Nimai Mondal and owner of G-series and Agniveena production Nazmul Hauqe Bhuiyan. While asking about her first solo album Mira told to DhakaLive, “I hail from a musical family, from where I was used to hearing Rabindra Sangeet. I took my first training from my mother. Hearing Rabindra Sangeet from my childhood, I grew affectionate towards it.  I am hopeful about my first solo album as I received appreciation earlier for my mixed album ‘Sruti Gitabitan’. It is my good fortune that quite a few veterans from the music scene of our country attended the cover unveiling programme of my album.”
After unveiling the cover of the album, singer Mira Mondal rendered some of the songs from the album at the event. The album contains nine tracks—‘Tumi Kon Pothe Je Ele’, ‘Kotobaro Bhebechhinu’,’Basanta Tar Gaan Likhe Jay’, ‘Amar Bichar Tumi Koro’, ‘Sei Bhalo Sei Bhalo’, ‘O Je Mane Na Mana’, ‘Onek Diner Amar Amar Je Gaan’, ‘Onek Kotha Bolechhilam and ‘Din Sesher Ranga Mukul’.
