Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations will start from November 1 this year, the primary and mass education ministry said yesterday.
The schedule of the examinations was finalised yesterday at a meeting at the secretariat.
Secretary of primary and mass education ministry Humayun Khalid said, “The exams will be held between Nov 1 and 17. Other issues over the exams will remain the same as of last year.”
The eight education boards and the madrasa board will cooperate with the ministry for holding the tests. The exams will begin at 10am and students are not allowed to use scientific calculators.
Apart from students, the teachers will not be allowed to bring mobile phones at exam centres this year. As per the ministry decision, only the centre secretaries will be allowed to use mobile phones.
