Mustafizur Rahman has sought the appointment of Lennard Funk, a Manchester based surgeon to show him the report of his injured shoulder.
A surgery on his shoulder looks imminent but the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) wants him to take opinions from all the experts available.
According to a BCB official, Mustafizur will meet Lennard Funk in person with his report after which the board will decide who will put him under the knife for the first time in his career. He is set to meet Funk within a couple of days.
Earlier British doctor Tony Kocchar saw him and suggested for operation in bid to cure his shoulder injury permanently.
The BCB also sent his report to Dr Greg Hoy in Australia who had earlier operated on Tamim Iqbal (wrist) and Anamul Haque (shoulder).
Mustafizur felt pain on his shoulder after taking part in two matches for Sussex in NatWest T20 blast. He thereafter had two MRI tests which revealed he has been suffering from SLAP (Superior Labrum from Anterior to Posterior tear) on his left-shoulder.
The BCB though sent his report to Australia it is all but sure that Mustafizur will undergo operation in England. As there is much movement involved if he wants surgery in Australia, the BCB chose England.
