Ashraful Moqbul new chairman of Sonali Bank

Ashraful Moqbul joined Sonali Bank Limited as chairman of board of directors, the bank said in a statement yesterday.
Prior to the joining, Ashraful Moqbul was the senior secretary.  He started his career in the Bangladesh Civil Service in January 1981.
During his 35 years’ tenure in the civil service Ashraful Moqbul served in various key positions in different ministries as well as in the field administration. He served as the Deputy Commissioner in Khagrachari hill district, Pabna and Kushtia, joint secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Divisional Commissioner of Chittagong, additional secretary of Ministry of Education, chairman of Land Appeal Board, secretary and senior secretary of Ministry of Textiles and Jute and Senior Secretary of Bangladesh Parliament Secretariat.
