Fifteen members of Border Guard Bangladesh’s (BGB’s) first batch of female recruits have been assigned to active duty at Benapole check post yesterday morning, reports UNB.
Earlier, 97 female recruits formally joined the the paramilitary force through a march-past on June 5. Among them, 15 members have been appointed to the Integrated Check Post (ICP) in Benapole of Jessore BGB battalion-26.
According to BGB officials, out of 100 female recruits, 97 completed the training successfully. They joined the force formally following the march-past held at BGB Training Centre and School of Baitul Izzat, Satkania in Chittagong on June 5.
