RANGPUR: Creating healthy and congenial cultural atmosphere in the educational institutions has become crucial to combat militancy and free the students and youths from the fearful path of terrorism and fundamentalist extremism, reports BSS.
Leaders and activists of Begum Rokeya University Sangshad of Bangladesh Udichi Shilpi Gosthi (USG) made the opinion at an anti-militancy human chain cum rally organised by the organisation at Parker Mour point in the city yesterday.
With President of Begum Rokeya Sangshad of USG Kumar Suman in the chair, Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering of the university Professor Dr Abu Kalam Mohammad Farid Ul Islam addressed the rally as the chief guest.
Activists of USG, including President of Begum Rokeya University unit of Bangladesh Chhatra Union Elmina Moni, students of the university Ahmed Nasir, Alamgir Hossain and Amanat Ali attended the rally. Students of the university Rokhsana Parveen and Shayla Afroz recited anti-militancy and patriotic poems on the occasion moderated by USG activist Wadud Sadman.
