Popular actor-director Mahfuz Ahmed is one such individual who stands strongly for the break-free tele-dramas. That is why, he has taken an initiative to come to an agreement with the private television channel RTV where the channel has arranged to air break-free tele-dramas every Friday at 11:20 pm and these tele-dramas all will be produced from Mahfuz Ahmed’s own production house Banichitra. On the occasion, a press conference was held on Wednesday night in the capital’s Gulshan Club, where many personalities associated with television, such as artistes, producers and directors were present.
Mahfuz Ahmed has named the initiative ‘Bhalobasar Prahar’. Regarding his initiative, he said, “Because of the plethora of commercials that are aired during tele-dramas or drama serials, a lot of the viewers lose the eagerness to watch them. For that, they miss out on some great programmes and are deprived from them. I have been thinking about this for quite some time now. As a result, I have taken this initiative from my own production house. This will be an attempt to get the viewers back to being eager about the tele-dramas.”
Also present at the press conference were Tarik Anam Khan, Zahid Hasan, Sadia Islam Mou, Tauquir Ahmed, director Gazi Rakayet, Tisha, Sajal, Maznun Mizan, Nayem, Nadia, Mishu Sabbir, Shabnam Faria, Chaynika Chowdhury, SA Huq Alik, Mabrur Rashid, Emraul Rafat, Ali Bashir, Shamima Shammi, and RTV’s Syed Asik Rahman, among others.
