Quader orders instant transfer of 2 BRTA staff

CHITTAGONG: Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader yesterday ordered instant transfer of two officials of the state-run Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) for their negligence of duties, reports BSS.
The minister came up with the move during his surprise visit to BRTA’s Chittagong office this noon. The BRTA officials, who were found neglecting their duties, are Inspector Moin Uddin and Assistant Revenue Officer Sirajul Islam.
The minister also inspected their attendance during the visit.Later, the minister visited the Chittagong depot of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) and asked to issue show-cause notice to the depot manager Mohammad Azahar for his failure to take quick steps for repairing BRTA double-decker buses.
