Tk 1421cr budget announced

Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) announced its 3rd budget of Tk 1421 crore 34 lakh and 19 thousand for the 2016-17 fiscal year yesterday. The acting mayor of GCC Asadur Rahman Kiron placed the budget at the auditorium of Gazipur city corporation while the local parliament member Zahid Ahsan Rasel was the chief guest in the function.
No tax was added in the new budget while the mayor Kiron requested to all for help him to fulfil the budget to build the city as a modern and environment friendly city corporation.
Tk 968.4 lakh will be collected from the foreign aided project and public partnership project (PPP) in the budget and at the same time Tk 339.46 lakh will be collected from revenue fund. The acting mayor Asadur Rahman Kiron said that the proposed budget aims to boost the development of infrastructures including establishment of drainage system, to build two regional office buildings, construction a market, educational institutions and dumping places at every ward.
