Two new Bangladeshi envoys meet president

Newly appointed Bangladesh Ambassador to Italy Abdus Sobhan Sikder and High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Riaz Hamidullah separately met President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on yesterday, reports UNB.
During the meetings, Abdul Hamid urged the envoys to take necessary steps to increase export from Bangladesh to Italy and Sri Lanka.
He advised them to highlight the country's recent socioeconomic progress. President's press secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meetings. The President also asked the envoys to work sincerely for the welfare of the expatriate Bangladeshis.
Abdus Sobhan Sikder and Riaz Hamidullah expressed gratitude to the President for their appointment as Ambassador and High Commissioner respectively.
They informed the President that they would put in their best efforts to strengthen bilateral relations with the two countries and sought his cooperation in discharging their duties. Secretaries concerned to the President’s Office were present.
