Photo exhibition on tigers underway at Shilpakala

A five-day solo photography exhibition on tigers titled ‘Bagh Jatra’ (The Journey with Tigers) by photographer Khan Fatim Hasan is currently underway at the National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), Segun Bagicha in the city.
With the slogan ‘Bagh Rokkha Kore Sundarban, Sundarban Rakkha Kore Bangladesh’ (Tigers protect Sundarbans, and Sunderbans protects Bangladesh), iAmKFH Photography, in association with BSA, has organised the ongoing exhibition focusing on ‘World Tiger Day Celebration’ on July 29 in Bangladesh.
BSA Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky inaugurated the exhibition as chief guest on Monday, while Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote general secretary Arun Sarker Rana was present as special guest.
Talented photographer Khan Fatim Hasan has captured the diverse expression of tigers in his camera, from where he is exhibiting a number of 80 photographs.
He said about the exhibition, “Apart from Bangladesh, I took the very close shot of the various species of the tigers from the different countries around the world. In Bangladesh, this is the first photography exhibition on tigers. How the numbers of tigers all over the world are decreasing day by day at a faster rate that, in future, our national animal tiger will be recorded only in our history and people cannot see the existence of the endless beautiful animals ‘Tiger’. So, to save the tigers, we have taken the initiative to increase the public awareness.”
The ongoing exhibition is open to all every day from 11am to 8pm, until tomorrow.
