Sabina Yasmin to receive gold medal today

In the memory of legendary Feroza Begum, Dhaka University has introduced the ‘Feroza Begum Memorial Gold Medal’ from this year. Celebrated singer Sabina Yasmin will receive the award, which will be conferred for the first time on the occasion of Feroza Begum's birth anniversary today. The announcement was made through a press conference on Tuesday at the Abdullah Farque Conference Room, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka (DU).  
DU Vice-Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique will hand over the award to Sabina Yasmin today at 4pm at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban Auditorium, DU.
Besides, a talented student from the Music Department of DU will also be awarded with the gold medal and scholarship every year.
