Members of Rapid Action Battalion handed over two people to Jhenaidah police on Tuesday evening after they were arrested for sheltering the attackers to Holey Artisan Bakery at Gulshan in Dhaka and Sholakia in Kishoreganj.
The arrestees were retired army soldier Kawser Ali, also owner of a mess at Sonalipara in Jhenaidah, and Rokanuzzaman, imam of a nearby mosque.
Both of them were arrested at Kabi Paglakanai Road in the town on Tuesday morning while the duo was dillydallying in the area, Major Manir Ahmed, camp commander of RAB-6 in Jhenaidah, said at a press briefing at night. They were interrogated by the law enforcers as they might be involved in the attack incidents of Gulshan and Sholakia Eid congregation, he said.
Nibras Islam, who was killed during Gulshan attack, and Abir, killed during Sholakia attack, had been living at a house of Kawser Ali for a couple of months. Rokanuzzaman had helped them hiring the house of Kawser Ali.
