DHAKA: The parliamentary standing committee on land will visit several districts to see for themselves the ongoing land digitization progress at the ground, said an official handout yesterday, reports BSS.
The decision was made at the 22nd meeting of the standing committee held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, with its chairman Mohammad Rezaul Karim Hira in the chair.
During their visits, the parliamentarians are expected to see how people are being benefitted from the digital land management system, now being implemented in several districts as part of a total land digitization project in the country.
The committee discussed about the involvement of the members of the parliament (MP) in their respective constituencies for the materialization of the cluster village programme of the government. The issues of monitoring of the cluster village programme and ensuring its best utility for more people were also discussed.
The standing committee also recommended for taking all out measures to recover government lands from the hands of illegal occupants.
