7 gamblers held in Barguna

Detectives arrested seven alleged gamblers from a hotel in the district town yesterday noon, reports UNB. The arrestees were identified as Panu Sharif, Jahangir Hawlader, Sajib Mollah, Jasim Hawlader, Shahjahan Hawlader, Jasim and Yeasin Panchayet. Tipped off, a team of Detective Branch of police conducted a drive at Purnima Hotel at Madrasah road at noon and arrested the seven gamblers, said DB sub-inspector Abu Zafar.
They also recovered Tk 22,897 during the drive, he said.
