Husband gets life for killing wife

NATORE: A court here yesterday sentenced one person to suffer life term imprisonment for killing his wife at Paka Dakhinpara village under Bagatipara upazila of the district in 2014, reports BSS. The court also fined him Taka 50,000, in default, to suffer one more year of rigorous imprisonment. District and Session Judge Rejaul Karim pronounced the verdict in a crowded court room. According to court official, the convict is Tushar Imran Tufan, 40, son of Abdur Razzak of the same area. The prosecution story, in brief, is that Tushar slaughtered his wife Sharmin Akhter Sathi to death over a family feud on June 11, 2014. The victim’s father Akshed Ali filed a murder case with Bagatipara Thana against Tushar.
