DU staff dies falling from rooftop

Dhaka University Transport Department Senior Technical Officer Abdul Wahab Khan died after falling from the roof of their four-storey Nilkhet Residential Area quarters yesterday. DU Acting Proctor Prof M Amzad Ali confirmed the incident. Family sources said, Wahab, 55, had been staying at the Nilkhet staff quarters of the DU. He fell down from the roof of the building when he went there to water the plants. After the falls, he was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctor declared him dead. Bacchu Miah, sub-inspector of DU police camp, said the body was sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
