Hasina orders leaders to make anti-terror bodies effective

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday instructed her party central leaders to inspect the activities of the recently formed anti-terror committees formed in each locality across the country.
She also directed her party leaders to go their respective locality to create awareness among the people against the recent acts of terrorism and militancy and make the anti-terror committees strengthened by incorporating in it the professionals who believe in the spirit of the War of Liberation.
The premier gave these directions at the AL Central Working Committee (ALCWC) meeting held at her official residence Ganabhaban in the capital yesterday night. The premier chaired the meeting that lasted around two hours.
The ruling party president also wanted to know from her central leaders about the preparations of the party’s upcoming 20th central council session scheduled to be held on October 22-23.
Directing the leaders to work as per her instructions to make the council session a success, Hasina said that the council will be held on time.
Talking to The Independent, AL Organizing Secretary Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said, “The above issues were discussed in the meeting. But our chief will sit with us on Sunday again. May by she will discuss more issues then.”
