11 female ‘Jamaat-Shibir activists’ held in Laxmipur

Laxmipur: Police in a drive arrested 11 female activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir along with some jihadi (religious uprising) books at Munshiganj in sadar upazila on Friday evening, reports UNB.Officer-in-charge of Laxmipur Sadar Police Station M Abdullah Al Mamun Bhuiyan said on secret information that a group of female activists of Jamaat-Shibir was planning to carry out subversive activities in the area, a team of police conducted a drive there.
During the drive, the law enforcers arrested the 11 Jamaat-Shibir activists and recovered several jihadi books.
