Founding vice-chancellor of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) and language movement veteran DR Sadruddin Ahmad Chowdhury died of old age complications at a hospital in the capital yesterday noon. He was 86, reports BSS. Dr Chowdhury was under treatment at capital's Lab Aid Hospital. An organiser of the War of Liberation, Dr Chowdhury was also in the forefront of movement for saving environment. He was born at village Fulbari under Gopalganj upazila in Sylhet in 1931. Dr Chowdhury was involved with four universities in his illustrious career as a teacher for long 58 years.
