Indian girl rescued from Barisal

Bangladesh Women Lawyers Association (BNWLA) with the help of Rapid Action Battalion Unit-8 rescued an Indian schoolgirl from remote Kalbila village under under Wazirpur upazila of Barisal on Friday afternoon.
The schoolgirl was a student of class ten at Rangabalia School in Gosaba of South 24-Pargana under Poshchim Banga of India.
She was rescued from the house of Manindra Mallik of Kalbila village and becoming aware about presence of law enforcers alleged abductor Swapan Mallik, son of Manindra Mallik, managed to flee from the area.
After recovery the 16-year old girl Boishakhi Kandar, daughter of Tarun Kandar, claimed that Swapan was working as a colour-painter at their house and both fell in love and got married.
As family members of Boishakhi was not recognised the relationship, so she fled from the house with Swapan and lived her in-laws in Bangladesh one month ago.
