Two held with fake notes

JHALOKATHI: Police in a drive arrested two persons and recovered counterfeit notes of Taka 29,500 from Shisu Sanad area on the Jhalokathi-Barisal highway in Sadar upazila yesterday morning, reports BSS.
The arrested were identified as Abdus Salam and Jahidul Islam, residents of Parmahal village of the upazila. Acting on a tip-off, a team of police from Jhalokathi Thana intercepted a motorbike in the area and arrested them with the counterfeit notes after searching their bodies, said M Alam, officer-in-charge of the Thana.
