Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday directed the authorities concerned to modernise Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) and Sir Salimullah Medical College and Hospital (SSMCH) for providing better medicare services to common people, reports UNB. Sheikh Hasina came up at the directive while presiding over the weekly Ecnec meeting held at the NEC conference, Planning Minister. AHM Mustafa Kamal told reporters after the meeting. He said the Prime Minister also suggested vertical expansion of these two medical institutions up to 20-storey ones keeping their front sides intact. Sheikh Hasina also suggested strictly following specific policies and rules while constructing embankments on rivers, canals and even in coastal areas.
