Fair trade certification brings yunnan coffee to Europe

Recently, the Pu'er Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau approved Yunnan Simao Beigui Coffee Company. coffee beans for export to Belgium. This batch of coffee beans, weighing 19.2 tons and worth USD 677,000, is China's first export with Fair Trade certification.

In January this year, the company became the first Chinese company to obtain the Fair Trade certificate from the International Fair Trade Organization. Fair trade is an organized social movement that originated in Europe druing the 1950s, advocating a global standard for fair labor, environmental protection and equitable social policies.
