10 outlaws get life term for murder

Khulna: A court yesterday convicted 10 activists of outlawed Purba Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) and sentenced them to life term imprisonment for killing two members of
its rival party in 2002, reports UNB.The lifers are Abdur Rashid, chief of PBCP, Syed alias Kala Syed, Mokaim Mollah, Harun Sheikh, Mizan Sheikh, Esken Mollah, Manirul Mollah, Abdur Rahim Mollah, Kawsar Mollah and Sobhan. Of them, Abdur Rashid, Syed and Mokaim were killed in gunfight with law enforcers while Harun and Mizan tried in absentia.
Shoyabur’s wife Nazma Begum filed a case against 22 identified and 25 unidentified people with Rupsha Police Station.
