Lightning kills 3 in Sunamganj

Sunamganj: Three people, including a teenage boy, were killed in lightning during a storm that swept through Tahirpur upazila of the district yesterday, reports UNB. The deceased were identified as Jamaluddin, 35, of Manigaon village, Abdur Razzak, 40, of Puranghat village and Al Amin, 14, of Khadirkhola village of the upazila. Officer-in-Charge of Tahirpur police station Md Shahidullah said a streak of lightning struck the trio when they were collecting coal near the Jadukata River in the upazila around 5:30 pm, leaving them dead on the spot. On information, police of Tahirpur police station recovered the bodies from the spot.
