Lucky Akhand seeks support for treatment

Popular singer-composer-lyricist-music director, who has enthralled and mesmerised his adoring fans with his brilliant and melodious music, is seeking financial assistance from his vast array of fans as well as the government. The popular singer has been battling lung cancer for a long time now and just last Friday, he was taken to Birdem Hospital and from there to the capitals United Hospital. The cost of his treatment is more than what his family can bear, and that is why, he is hoping for financial support .
Lucky Akhand said, At the moment, I am in dire need of financial help. That is why, I am reaching out to the government as well the people to help me out. Some close people have financially helped me out, but the requirements exceed that. I wish for everyones prayers.
He was taken to Bangkoks Paithai hospital in September last year where he underwent surgery. He returned to Bangladesh in October, but after his condition started deteriorating, he was taken back again to Bangkok in November for chemotherapy. He returned to Bangladesh in March this year. For his treatment last year, the Government of Bangladesh also stepped forward.
After returning to the country, he seemed to be doing better and even started working on some new songs. However, since last week, he started experiencing uneasiness, which resulted him being admitted to the hospital.
