UP member held in Savar sabotage case

Savar: Police arrested a union parishad member from Pathalia in Savar upazila early yesterday in a case filed for sabotage, reports UNB. The arrestee was identified as Lehaj Uddin, member of ward no 5 of Pathalia union under Ashulia thana. Assistant Sub-inspector of Ashulia Police Station Masud Rana said tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Lehaj in the dead of night. Police arrested Lehaj in a case for carrying out sabotage during the BNP endorsed hartal and blockade after January 5 general election, the ASI added.
