NARAYANGANJ: A Narayanganj court yesterday adjourned the hearing in the sensational seven-murder case till July 25, reports BSS.
Narayanganj District and Sessions Judge Syed Enayet Hossain set the date after recording depositions of the eight prosecution witnesses.
Two former RAB officials DAD Jamaluddin, SI Masud Alam, former officer in-charge of Fatulla Police Station Akter Hossain, forest official Fazlul Haque, one Ishtiak Ahmed, Ramzan Hossain, Makbul Hossain and Abdur Rouf Miah testified in the case yesterday.
After their testimonies, defence counsels cross-examined the witnesses.
Earlier in the morning, police produced 23 accused before the court amid tight security. On April 27, 2014, seven people including the then panel mayor of Narayanganj City Corporation Najrul Islam and senior lawyer Chandan Sarker were abducted from Lamapara area of Fatulla. Three days later, their bodies were found floating in the river Shitalakhya.
