Arrest warrant against 13 war criminals issued

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1yesterday issued arrest warrant against 13 alleged war criminals from Bagerhat, reports BSS.
The accused are: Ashraf Ali, Khan Akram Hossain, Sultan Ali, Rustam Ali, Idris Ali, Moksed Ali, Sheikh Md Ukil Uddin, Sheikh Idris Ali, Sheikh Rafikul Islam, Moniruzzaman Hawlader, Md Hashem Ali Sheikh, Md Azhar Ali Shikder and Md Mokbul Mollah.
"The accused were involved with monstrous crimes like murder, rape and torture in their locality in 1971. The ICT probe body in their primary investigation already found evidence against them. For the sake of proper investigation, they need to be behind the bars," said prosecutor Tapas Kanti Baul.
