‘Bhul’, a full-length Bangla film starring popular Bangladeshi actress Achol, has been invited to the South Asian Film Festival in Dallas, United States. The film, which is also the debut film of Achol, will be screened in the festival on August 28. Achol expressed her excitement centring the film’s participation in the festival, “I am extremely happy after knowing the news. My film ‘Mental’ was released during this Eid and viewers accepted the film positively. After this achievement, this news increased my joy of Eid. This is really great news for me that one of my films is going to a mega festival like this in the USA.” On the other hand, director of the film ‘Bhul’ Razu Ahmed said, “The film was released in 2011. Then the film was honoured to be the opening film in the Delhi International Film Festival in 2012, and the film was screened in the public choice segment at the Dhaka International Film Festival.” The subject of the film is about AIDS and humanity. One’s responsibility to the society has been portrayed through the sacrifice of love in the film. To note, Zaidur Rahman Anjan-directed ‘Meghmallar’ will also be screened at the South Asian Festival.

During the festive time of Eid-ul-Fitr, Bangladesh Television (BTV) aired about 67 programmes and from there 40 programmes was immensely appreciated by the viewers and created positive vibes in the media.…
