BCB to organise cricket carnival

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) with the support of the National Sports Council (NSC) is organising the Cricket Carnival for the aged group of Under-12 across the country in a bid to create interest and awareness about cricket amongst school-bound children and their guardians.
The Under-12 Cricket Carnival 2016, splitting into two phases, is scheduled to start at 70 different venues across the country. Through this carnival, the talent scouting will be moved forward with the same pace.
With huge fanfare and festivity, the carnival has been started at 33 district venues yesterday. In Dhaka Metro, the two-day-long carnival will be held at five different venues on July 18 and 19 respectively.
Therefore, the carnival will also be held on July 22 at 32 different district venues on July 22.
A total number of seven matches, where length of each innings is 12 overs, will be held at each venue and will be completed in a day.  
More than 32 school children (boys & girls) aged 12 or below will be selected by the coaches in each district or venue and four teams to be formed with the selected 32 players.
Two grounds with a 30 yard circle to be located on each side of the centre wicket at the stadium and distance between two wickets will be 18 yards.
In second phase, a seven-day-long basic training programme will be offered for the identified young talents, which will be held at 70 different venues including Dhaka Metro. This time each team will be formed with 12 to 15 players.
