NARSINGDI: Narsingdi Thana Community policing forum organised a view exchange meeting on terrorism and militancy on Sadar Thana premises on Thursday, reports BSS.
Police Super Narsingdi Amena Begum presided over the meeting and addressed it.
In her address the police super urged people to remain alert and vigilant about the new comers and unknown persons in the area. She requested all to give information to police about the new comers in the area.
She also urged the parents and teachers to remain alert about the movement of their children and students to prevent them from being derailed.
Pointing out two recent militant attacks in Dhaka’s Gulshan and Shulakia, police super said Islam never support any barbaric act like that, rather Islam is the religion of peace.
She said militant activities cause losses to the country, economy and trade and business.
She said the law enforcement agencies are working relentlessly to save country and its people from the grip of militants.
The police super also urged the police to remain alert about the safety and security of the people and take steps as necessary. Chairman of Sadar upazila parishad Monzur Elahi, upazila Nirbahi Officer, Sadar, Motakabbir Ahmed and others spoke on occasion.
