3 women jailed for 2 years

Jessore: A tribunal here on Thursday convicted three women and sentenced them to two years’ rigorous imprisonment in a drug case, reports UNB.
The convicts are Shahana Begum, wife of late Abdus Salam, Mira Begum, wife of Shariful Islam, and Beauty alias Hafiza, wife of Enamul of Chanchra in Jessore district town.
The tribunal also fined the convicts Tk5,000 each, in default, to suffer three months more of rigorous imprisonment.
