Youth held with heroin in Gazipur

Police in a drive arrested a young man along with 20 sachets of heroin from Notun Bazar area of Gazipur city on Thursday night. The youth was identified as Mominul Islam, 30, hailing from Godagari area in Rajshahi district.
Mohammed Rafikul Islam, in-charge of Konabari police outpost under Joydebpur police station, said Mominul has been selling different kinds of drugs, including heroin, in Konabari and its adjacent areas of the city for long time.
On secrete information police conducted a raid in at Kashimpur central jail road area on Thursday night. They arrested Mominul while he was selling the drugs. Later, police seized 20 sachets (Puria) of heroin.
A case was filed against the Mominul with Joydebpur police station in this connection.
