Trader hacked to death

KHULNA:  A wood trader was hacked to death by miscreants  in Shalua Kalibari area of the district early yesterday, reports BSS. The deceased was identified as Shamsul Haque Raj, 32, son of late Abdul Mannan, a resident of Modyodanga Pramanik Para in the upazila. Mizanur Rahman, sub-inspector of Rangpur Police Camp, said miscreants attacked Raj and stabbed him while he was returning from Rathmela, a fair, in Shalua Kalibari area in Rangpur union parishad on Thursday night. Later, the miscreants threw him into a drain in the area. Later, locals rescued him. He was whisked off to Khulna Medical College.
