Bulbul Ahmed’s 6th death anniv today

Today is the 6th death anniversary of Bulbul Ahmed, an accomplished actor who earned a permanent place in the hearts of millions of fans through his mesmerising acting ability, who died on July 15 in 2010. Bulbul Ahmed was born on September 15 in 1940 in Dhaka. Before launching his acting career through stage drama in 1965, he worked as a banker from 1965 to 1975. He made his debut in television acting in 1968 before making a foray into filmdom. Bulbul Ahmed received four National Film Awards in his lifetime. He won the National Film Award for his role in the films ‘Shimana Periye’, ‘Shesh Uttar’, ‘Badhubiday’ and ‘Dipu Number 2’.
On the other hand, he directed the film ‘Rajlakkhi Srikanto’ in 1987, and the film won the National Film Award in 13 categories. The legendary actor appeared in more than 300 plays and 200 films until his death in 2010.
DhakaLive has news that the late actor’s family has taken an initiative to observe the day in a special manner today.
Bulbul Ahmed’s daughter Oindrila said, “We are observing the day in a homely manner paying respect and love to him. Besides, we will also offer prayers and help the poor and needy people from the Bulbul Ahmed Foundation that was formed last year.”
As a part of the activities of Bulbul Ahmed Foundation, a financial aid has already given to ailing actor Amir Ali.
Oindrila said, “In his lifetime, my father used to help the poor and orphans. We are just trying to follow his path. I seek prayers from everyone that may Almighty grant him Jannah.”
Oindrila informed that on behalf of the Bulbul Ahmed Foundation, different types of steps will be taken, for example, they will distribute warm clothes among the cold-stricken people in the coming winter. To keep the memory of Bulbul Ahmed alive in the hearts of his fans, the foundation will carry out various social activities in the future. l
