Ranjeet Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of Barisal City Corporation (BCC), has been removed from his post on Wednesday evening.
He was removed after one month of the investigation against his involvement in corruption and irregularities at Barisal City Corporation. Four-member team of Local Government Ministry led by additional secretary Sourendranath Chakraborty investigated the matter.
Acknowledging the fact, Public relations officer of BCC Ahsan Romel said that “He do not know reason behind the removal but it is fact that Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Khulna City Corporation Howladar Md Rafikul Bari replaced here in the same post”.
A letter signed by Deputy Secretary of Public Service Administration Md Jashim Uddin Khan mentioned that Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BCC Ranjeet Kumar has been transferred on deputation at Non Government Teacher Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA).
