Murder attempt on Chuadanga trader

Chuadanga: A trader received severe injuries as a local youth made an attempt on his life at Shalika village in Alamdanga upazila on Monday night, reports UNB.
The victim was identified as Khairul Islam, 48, a resident of the village.
Quoting witnesses, Akram Hossain, officer-in-charge of Alamdanga Police Station, said a local young man named Rumman swooped on Khairul as he came out of the house around 8.30pm. Later Rumman attempted to slaughter Khairul in a field near his house. Locals rescued him in critical condition and had him admitted to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital. Rumman went into hiding after the incident.
