Deputy Speaker Fazle Rabbi Miah yesterday directed the authorities concerned for tightening the security of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, reports UNB.
He gave the directive while visiting all the entry points of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in the morning.
The deputy speaker asked the security men deployed at the check-posts to be careful so that no unauthorised person or vehicle can trespass the parliament areas.
He himself checked entry passes of some visitors and scolded an official of the Parliament Secretariat for not keeping his identity card visible.
Fazle Rabbi asked for increasing security men at the entry point of VVIPs and modernising the entry points using electric sticks instead of bamboo ones to prevent unauthorised vehicles.
