The government will take assistance from developed countries to tackle terrorism as it is rather a global issue rather than a local one, said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, reports UNB.
Talking about the Gulshan and Sholakia incidents, he said, “The FBI has been involved in the investigation as US is more developed in using tracking devices. We’ll take support from every developed country for countering terrorism as terrorism is not a problem of Bangladesh, it is an international problem.”
The minister came up with the remarks while talking to reporters during his inspection of mobile court drives conducted by Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) at Bypile in Ashulia area on the outskirts of the capital yesterday.Besides, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul urged all, including BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, to join the social movement and provide their support in tackling militancy.
Executive Engineer (Dhaka) of Roads and Highways Department Ataur Rahman and organising secretary of Juba League Central Committee Faruk Hasan Tuhin were present on the occasion.
