BUBT gets new registrar
Md Harun-or-Rashid has joined Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) as registrar recently, says a press release.
Before joining BUBT, he served at NCTB, NAEM, NU, BOU and MIU in different positions. Dr Harun obtained Masters degree in 1981 and PhD in 2004 from Dhaka University under Arts Faculty. He also obtained MSS in Political Science from NU and MEd from BOU.
BNP-backed teachers association body formed
MYMENSINGH: A 23-member executive committee of Bangladesh National Party (BNP) backed teachers association Sonali Dal of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) has been formed on Monday.
Prof Md Fazlul Awal Mollah of Fisheries Biology and Genetics department and Prof Md Shawkat Ali of Poultry Science department of BAU were elected as president and general secretary respectively, says a press release. Other members of the committee are-- Prof Md Habibur Rahman Pramanaik, vice-president; Prof Md Mosharraf Uddin Bhuian, treasurer; Md Javedul Haque Bhuian and Md Wakilur Rahman, joint-secretary; Prof Ahmed Khairul Hasan, organising secretary; Md Bodiuzzaman Khan, press and publication secretary; Prof Minara Khatun, social affairs and cultural secretary; and Prof Md Rustam Ali, information and research secretary; of the committee.
A total of 13 were elected as members of the newly formed executive committee.
