Mahfuz Ahmed busy making two tele-films for Eid

Popular actor-director Mahfuz Ahmed has his hands full with directing two separate tele-films titled ‘Debdut’ and ‘Room Number 13’ on the occasion of upcoming Eid. The tele-films are written by Ishrat Jahan Kader and Kawser Khan respectively. DhakaLive has news that the location for the shooting of both the tele-films is Bajitpur in Tangail, in nearby places around Jahurul Islam Medical College, which was established in 1992. Both the tele-films will be produced under the banner of Mahfuz Ahmed’s own production house Banichitra.  
The shooting of ‘Debdut’ began from June 22 at the aforementioned location. Director Mahfuz Ahmed did not want to reveal in details regarding the title role, but he mentioned that the tele-film will certainly have a spark, and audience-admired actors Ahmed Rubel and Runa Khan will play two crucial roles in the tele-film.
As soon as the shooting of Debdut will be completed on June 26, the shooting of ‘Room Number 13’ will begin from the very next day. ‘Room Number 13’ will feature Lux star Nadia Afrin, Veet superstar Mithila, Fair and Handsome star Azad Abul Kalam, while Richi Solaiman will also be seen playing a vital role.
Regarding the two tele-films, Mahfuz Ahmed said, “I came here in Bajitpur, Tangail, for the purpose of these two tele-films. The sheer beauty of the campus of this medical college is second to none. The ambience, the settings, the presence of so many students, the spots, these are all required for the type of scenes that I need for the tele-films and that is why I am here with my unit. The artistes are working with full eagerness, and that brings me immense satisfaction.”
To note, Mahfuz Ahmed will also be seen appearing in Chayanika Chowdhury-directed tele-films ‘Anumati Prarthana’, ‘Chayabandi’ and Dour Nakkhatrer Kacche’ and in tele-drama ‘Kemon Acho’. In ‘Anumati Prarthana’, the audience will see Mahfuz Ahmed and Shami Kaiser appearing together after 11 long years.
‘Debdut’ and ‘Room Number 13’ will be aired on Channel i and Banglavision respectively during upcoming Eid.
